For nearly 30 years, The Village Family Services has been a trusted resource and advocate for children, youth, and families across Los Angeles County. Our full spectrum of culturally responsive, trauma-informed services spans foster care and adoption, mental health, housing and homelessness, and youth development.
In FY25, The Village served 2,645 clients across all programs, and had an esimated reach of over 6,600 individuals. Services range from therapy and crisis intervention to housing navigation, education support, and life skills development.
Whether a child is healing from abuse, a young person is working toward stable housing, or a teen is navigating life after foster care, The Village provides consistent support at every stage. Young people are met with respect, connection, and real pathways forward.
The Village serves as the Youth Coordinated Entry System Lead for Service Planning Area 2, acting as a central access point for young people seeking housing and support. Through this role, and through direct services such as our Drop-In Center, housing programs, and behavioral health services, TVFS helps young people move from crisis toward stability.
Our work is grounded in partnership and lived experience. We invest in the next generation of social workers through our training programs, and we elevate the voices of young people to help shape services and systems. Many of the youth we serve, including LGBTQ+ youth and young people seeking safety, face disproportionate barriers. The Village is committed to meeting them with culturally responsive care and meaningful opportunities to thrive.
Our approach centers dignity, connection, and long-term outcomes. Every young person who secures housing, reconnects with education, or builds a foundation for their future reflects what is possible when communities invest in care, consistency, and opportunity.
