An inside look at LA County’s newest department and what it means for youth, providers, and the future of coordinated care.

Experts from DHSH, the Greater LA Coalition on Homelessness, and LA Emissary discuss how Prop 1, the Behavioral Health Services Act, BH-Connect, and Measure A are reshaping housing, health, and funding systems.

Spotlight Speaker:
Dr. Julie Cederbaum, Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work, USC, explores the science of trauma, brain development, and resilience in homeless youth — and how it must inform programs and policy.

Youth Panel:
Youth leaders and providers share why housing alone isn’t enough, highlighting the need for trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and LGBTQIA+ affirming services.

Dr. Brian Broomand, BLUES Program Manager, The Village Family Services, announces the next chapter of The Village’s BLUEs Initiative, building new pathways of support for youth.
