First 5 LA
We are thankful to First 5 LA for supporting our capacity-building project. This project has not only increased the agency’s organizational effectiveness, but it has enabled us to have a positive impact on our community. First 5 LA’s support has allowed us to increase community access to child-abuse prevention services, parenting training and family support to at-risk parents and victims of abuse. The children have ultimately benefited from their parents’ progress, as well as from their own therapeutic treatment.
The Ahmanson Foundation has granted The Village Family Services funds to provide our mental health services for uninsured youth. The grant will provide allow us to create personalized treatment plans to identify appropriate therapeutic goals based on the selected evidence-based practice. A second grant, funded in April 2015, is for the purchase of housewares and furnishings for our TAY housing program.
Thanks to the support of Kaiser Permanente, The Village Family Services has been able to provide services to at-risk, homeless, foster, and LGBTQ youth through the support of our TAY Drop-In Center. Contributions from both Woodland Hills and Panorama City Medical Centers have allowed us to enhance and expand our services in the San Fernando Valley.
Wells Fargo is proud to support organizations working to strengthen our communities. Through the efforts of our enthusiastic team member-volunteers and our contributions, we share our success within our communities by giving back to non-profits and educational institutions that address vital community needs and issues. Wells Fargo is a presenting sponsor of The Village Family Services’ annual gala, “An Evening To Inspire”.
The Alvarado Foundation supports our wellness program in Watts entitled “The Transform Project”. The program is a collaborative effort between A Thousand Joys, The Village Family Services and New Designs Charter School-Watts.

The John W. Carson Foundation supports our mission with unrestricted general operating support. We’re grateful to the trustee’s of the Carson Foundation for their dedication to serving vulnerable children and youth in Los Angeles.
The Weingart Foundation has provided a significant core support grant providing unrestricted general operating funds which will increase the organization’s fundraising capabilities.

The Green Foundation provided programmatic funding to support our TAY Drop-In Center. The Green Foundation, with a primary focus on The Arts, Education, and Human Services, seeks to preserve and enhance Leonard Green’s philanthropic vision.

The W.M. Keck Foundation provided multi-year programmatic funding to support our TAY Drop-In Center. The Keck Foundation’s investment provided critically needed funding during our formative years of the program.
